BUILDING A LUXURY CBD SKINCARE BRAND FROM TWO PRODUCTS

RUNDOWN

Role: Brand Strategist • Creative Marketing • Copywriter

Focus: Brand Strategy • Creative Direction • Luxury Skincare • E-Commerce • Packaging

Channels: Website • Product Packaging • Product Pages • Ingredient Education

Key Work: Brand concept • Mood boards • Creative direction • Website architecture and layouts • Website copy • Product descriptions • Packaging copy • Ingredient glossary • Visual mock-ups

Result: Built the visual and verbal foundation for a luxury CBD skincare brand with only two products, creating a more expansive and cohesive customer experience across its website, packaging, education, and product storytelling.

Vie En Rose had two products.

Vie En Rose had two products. That was the starting point, but the goal was to make those two products feel like the beginning of a complete luxury skincare brand rather than a small product line. The founder brought me in to develop the brand concept, website and packaging copy, visual direction, and overall customer experience.

I approached the project as a complete brand experience, developing the visual and verbal identity together so the website, packaging, product storytelling, and education all felt like they belonged to the same world.

How Do You Make a Two-Product Skincare Brand Feel Like a Complete Luxury Brand?

The first step was creating a world around the products. I developed mood boards, creative direction, visual concepts, and mock-ups to establish how Vie En Rose should look and feel. From there, I worked through the brand language and customer experience, considering everything from product storytelling and ingredient education to navigation and the overall flow of the website.

The goal was to give the existing products enough context, personality, and depth to create a memorable luxury skincare experience.

How Do You Build a Luxury Skincare Website From Scratch?

I developed the structure and layout of the entire Vie En Rose website, including the homepage, supporting content, ingredient education, and product pages. The website needed to introduce the brand, explain the products, educate customers about the ingredients, and create a natural path toward purchase.

Rather than treating it as a simple two-product storefront, I used the website to build the larger Vie En Rose story. Customers could discover the brand, learn about the ingredients, understand the products, and then move into the product experience with more context.

How Do You Create Product Education for CBD Skincare?

CBD skincare was still a relatively unfamiliar category for many consumers, so education was an important part of the brand experience. I developed an ingredient glossary that gave customers somewhere to explore the ingredients used throughout the formulas instead of simply encountering unfamiliar names on a product label.

This added another layer of credibility and gave Vie En Rose an opportunity to educate customers while reinforcing the brand's focus on thoughtful formulation.

How Do You Write Luxury Skincare Product Descriptions?

The product pages needed to communicate the formulas and their benefits while maintaining the elevated positioning of the brand. I developed the product descriptions around both the functional and experiential aspects of the products, making the information accessible without losing the sophistication of the brand.

The copy needed to explain the products clearly while also making the customer want to experience them.

How Do You Make a Small Product Line Feel Bigger?

This was the central creative challenge of Vie En Rose. I didn't need to create the illusion of a massive product catalog. Instead, I created depth around the products that already existed. The website architecture, ingredient education, brand storytelling, visual direction, product pages, packaging, and overall customer experience worked together to create a complete brand world around two products. Sometimes you just need to create more meaning around the products you already have.

The Bigger Picture

Vie En Rose was a small product line with a much bigger ambition. My role was to build the visual, verbal, and educational foundation that allowed two products to feel like the beginning of a luxury skincare brand. From the initial mood boards and creative direction to the website architecture, product copy, packaging, and ingredient education, I developed the pieces of a cohesive brand experience around the products that already existed.

It was a strong example of how brand strategy, creative direction, design thinking, education, and copywriting work together. The products were the starting point. The brand experience gave them a world to live in.
